The NIS, Lagos State Command that arrested the notorious Enugu Native doctor popularly known as Ezeani has handed him over to the Lagos State Police Command for further investigation.
This was revealed by the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a statement released via X on Friday, May 30.
“ONGOING: @nigimmigration, Lagos State Command hands over wanted suspect, Obi Levi Obieze, to @LagosPoliceNG at the Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja,”
Hundeyin wrote.
Obieze, also known as Levi Obu Onyeka, was arrested on May 29, 2025, by operatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service at the Gbaji checkpoint along Badagry-Seme Road while attempting to flee the country on a motorcycle
His arrest followed credible intelligence linking him to kidnapping and alleged r!tual k!llings in Isiagu Community, Enugu State.
The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Nandap, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued by the Service Public Relations Officer, ACI AS Akinlabi, on Thursday.
“The suspect is a male individual wanted by the Nigeria Police Enugu State Command for alleged involvement in abduction, kidnapping, and ritual killing,” the statement read.
Obieze, a native doctor from Umuajor village in Enugu, was reportedly part of a group of three men who abducted a 13-year-old girl on May 27, 2025, while she was walking with her father to the farm.
The girl was later rescued due to her loud cry from a shrine allegedly linked to Obieze.
Obieze identity was confirmed with the national identity card found on him. 55ttt5
