A Nigerian female pilgrim from plateau State has d!ed in Makkah in the ongoing 2025 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
This was made known by the Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Daiyabu Dauda, on Monday.
Dauda made it know that the deceased d!ed at King Abdul’aziz Hospital in Makkah while performing the 2025 hajj.
His statement reveals that the cause of death is complications arising from diabetes, as diagnosed by medical professionals.
Daiyabu Dauda, who is the Amirul Hajj, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, stating that upon being informed of her condition, he promptly directed the medical team to provide her with immediate attention at the hospital, in line with the directives of Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
He added that several officials, along with the relatives of the deceased, attended her funeral prayers at the Grand Mosque before she was subsequently buried according to Islamic rites.
