Joycelyn Savage, R. Kelly’s fiancée, defends R Kelly against her family claims

Joycelyn Savage, R. Kelly’s fiancée, is speaking out against her family’s claims. In a recent video, she firmly denied her family's accusations, saying she’s not being controlled, abused, or held against her will.

Joycelyn says she and R. Kelly have been in a relationship for a decade and engaged for the past three years. She said, she and Kelly plan to marry and start a family. She asked the public not to believe what she calls “lies” from her family, stating clearly: “I’m not a victim, I’m not brainwashed, and I’m not a sex slave.”

Joycelyn’s family has been vocal about their concerns for her well-being, especially regarding her relationship with R. Kelly. They’ve publicly stated they believe she’s under his control and have opposed efforts to seek a pardon for him.

In her latest video, Joycelyn asked fans to keep R. Kelly in their prayers while still in prison, expressing hope that he’ll be released soon.

Her family, through their lawyer Gerald Griggs, says Joycelyn haven’t communicated with her family for years. In her response she says she is simply chosen not to speak with them, and there’s no hidden reason behind it, just a strained relationship.

R. Kelly is currently serving time after being convicted in 2021 for racketeering and sex trafficking, and again in 2022 for child pornography and luring minors.

Recently, he claimed there was an attempt on his life in prison, which led him to hospital.

So far, Joycelyn’s family hasn’t responded to her latest video.
