Nigerian National arrested in South Africa over drugs

The Police in Gauteng, South Africa, the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) drug unit has arrested a Nigerian National for smuggling drugs.

The 36-year-old Nigerian suspect was arrested on Friday July 11, 2025 during a drug burst by the TMPD Police Division.

In a statement on Saturday, July 12, the Tshwane Metro Police Division stated that the drugs have an estimated street value of R10,000. 

"On Friday, 11 July 2025, The TMPD Drug Unit members arrested a 36-year-old Nigerian national in Centurion for possession and dealing in drugs," the statement read. 

“The suspect was found in possession of crystal meth and CAT with an estimated street value of R10,000.”
