American singer and songwriter Cassie has resurfaced on social media for the first time in months, sharing a humorous take on postpartum recovery.

On Thursday, the mother-of-three posted a meme showing someone starting and stopping a dance several times, with the caption: “When your old self slowly starts coming out postpartum.” Cassie added her own note “Little by little lol” — hinting she’s gradually regaining her old energy.

The post comes a little over two months after Cassie welcomed her third child, a baby boy, in late May. His birth followed her high-profile testimony in the federal trial of her former longtime partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Cassie had accused Diddy of abuse during the trial, but while the music mogul was found guilty on two of five charges, he was cleared of the more serious counts of sex trafficking and racketeering. He now awaits sentencing.

For now, Cassie seems to be in a better space and fans can expect to see more of her in the days ahead.
