Rock of Love star Kelsey Bateman dies at 39

Former reality TV star, Kelsey Bateman, who featured in Bret Michaels’ show Rock of Love, has passed away today, at the age of 39.

Family sources confirmed her death, noting it came suddenly, though the exact cause is yet to be made public. Authorities have not released further details at this time.

Bateman became known in 2009 when she appeared on the third and final season of Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels. The show followed women traveling with the Poison frontman on tour, all competing for his affection.

She was just 21 years old when she joined 22 other contestants. Bateman made it into the top nine before being sent home in episode seven. Her elimination came after a dramatic night where she appeared intoxicated and emotionally overwhelmed.

Speaking at the time, Michaels said he believed her behavior showed she wasn’t ready for the rock-and-roll lifestyle, which led to her exit from the competition.

Though her stint on the show was short-lived, Bateman left a mark on fans of the reality series, remembered for her youthful spirit and emotional vulnerability.

She is survived by her loved ones, as friends and fans mourn her untimely passing.
