American pop superstar, Taylor Swift, and NFL star, Travis Kelce, have officially taken their relationship to the next level — they’re engaged.

Swift broke the news on Tuesday, August 26, through an Instagram post that quickly set social media buzzing. Sharing photos from the romantic proposal, the singer captioned it: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” One of the images showed Kelce on one knee as he popped the question.

The announcement sent fans into a frenzy, gathering over 1.8 million likes within just 20 minutes. Even the NFL joined in to congratulate the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the 14-time Grammy winner.

Swift and Kelce have been one of the most talked-about celebrity couples in recent years. Their love story began in 2023 after the footballer attended Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Kansas City. Since then, they’ve made countless headlines with their public appearances.
