The music must go on for American singer D4vd, who stunned fans by performing at his scheduled concert in Minnesota—just a day after Los Angeles police made a gruesome discovery in the trunk of his car.
The rising star hit the stage at The Fillmore Minneapolis on Tuesday night, keeping his world tour on track despite the shocking news.
According to TMZ, police in Los Angeles launched a death investigation after responding to reports of a foul odor coming from a Tesla parked in a Hollywood impound lot on Monday. When officers opened the trunk, they reportedly found a body that had been dismembered and was already decomposing.
Authorities say the car is registered to David Anthony Burke, which happens to be D4vd’s real name. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the singer was notified immediately and appeared to have no prior knowledge of what had happened.
It remains unclear whether D4vd had lent the car to someone else, or if it was stolen before the shocking discovery. Police say the artist is fully cooperating with investigators.
Despite the disturbing news, D4vd is staying focused on his tour schedule. He has upcoming shows in Missouri, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Washington, and California before heading to Europe and beyond for concerts across Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, the UK, France, Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Poland, and Australia.
Fans online have expressed a mix of shock and support for the 19-year-old singer, whose music career continues to soar amid this unexpected twist.
