This woman narrates how kidnapping has taken a different turn. Her story will send shivers down your spine.
According to her, She had stepped out for a quick errand, leaving her phone at home. Everything seemed normal until a man in a car pulled up beside her.
He asked her for directions, but when she said she didn’t know, things took a disturbing turn. The man suddenly started wooing her.
She brushed him off, telling him she wasn’t interested. But what happened next was like a scene from a nightmare he got out of his car and tried to drag her inside his car.
She screamed for help, hoping someone would step in. People gathered, but instead of rescuing her, they stood there watching.
Then, to make matters worse, the man boldly lied. He told the crowd she was his girlfriend, claimed he had sponsored her education, and said she had stormed out of his car in anger.
The woman said her heart sank when some of the onlookers began taunting her, accusing her of being ungrateful to the man who supposedly “helped” her.
She kept crying and fighting, but no one moved a muscle until a good Samaritan arrived.
An Igbo man who had parked nearby walked up and questioned the alleged boyfriend. When he asked for the woman’s name, the man gave the wrong one.
Quickly, the woman pulled out her ID to prove she wasn’t who he claimed she was.
Still, the man refused to back down and kept trying to drag her away, encouraged by some passersby who believed his story.
Just when things were getting out of hand, a yam vendor who knew the woman rushed over to defend her.
At that moment, the kidnapper jumped back into his car and sped off, leaving her shaking and in tears.
She says she is still traumatized by how close she came to being kidnapped and how a crowd chose to believe a stranger over her desperate cries for help.
