Gunmen attacked Leisure Court Estate in Abuja’s Lugbe area, abducting a young man and injuring his fiancée during a midnight raid.

A midnight attack at Leisure Court Phase 1 Estate in Lugbe, Abuja, has left residents in shock after gunmen kidnapped a young man and injured his fiancée.

The incident occurred around 12:01 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, when the assailants stormed the residence of Mr. Olusoji Litan on Mike Ekere Street, under the Aco Police Division.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed that the kidnappers took away Mr. Litan’s son, Oladeji Emmanuel, who had just arrived in Abuja to visit his parents on Friday, November 9.

During the attack, Emmanuel’s fiancée, identified as Amanda, sustained gunshot wounds on both thighs.

Police said they received a distress call from the estate’s Chief Security Officer around 12:25 a.m. A rapid response team, supported by hunters and vigilantes, was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Investigators recovered three expended 7.62mm bullet shells from the compound.

Amanda was quickly taken to Lawrence Margaret Teaching Hospital at River Park Estate, where doctors confirmed she was in stable condition.

Security sources disclosed that efforts are ongoing to track down the abductors and rescue the victim. The case has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

Meanwhile, a check on Emmanuel’s X (Twitter) account shows his last post was made at about 10:38 a.m. on November 9, just a day before the tragic incident.
