We earlier reported that the Minister of Defence Mohammed Badaru resigned on health grounds. 

News breaking at the moment is that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, as Nigeria’s new Minister of Defence.

In a letter sent to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the President named Musa as successor to Mohammed Badaru, who resigned on Monday.
