Tragedy strikes as Ogechukwu Mmadubugwu is found dead after visiting her fiancé, who allegedly feigned illness to lure her.

A heartbreaking tragedy has unfolded in what appears to be a calculated betrayal of love and trust. The family of Ogechukwu Mmadubugwu is demanding justice after her lifeless body was discovered in the home of her fiancé, Valentine Chibuike Anaikpe.

The suspect is currently on the run, leaving a grieving family and a shocked community in his wake.

A Trap Disguised as a Plea for Help

The incident reportedly began on Monday, December 8. According to family sources, Valentine reached out to Ogechukwu around 9:00 PM, claiming he was severely ill and in urgent need of medication.

Concerned for her partner’s health, Ogechukwu reportedly purchased the requested drugs and rushed to his residence to care for him.

Upon her arrival, the situation allegedly took a manipulative turn. Valentine claimed his condition had worsened and pleaded with her to stay the night to monitor him.

Ogechukwu, unaware of any danger, called her mother to inform her of the change in plans before staying over. That call would be the last time her family heard from her.

The Horrifying Discovery

Panic set in the following day, December 9, when Ogechukwu did not return home and all calls to her phone went unanswered. Attempts to reach Valentine were also futile.

Fearing the worst, the family went to Valentine’s residence. What they found was a scene of horror. Ogechukwu was discovered dead, with visible stab wounds and signs of a brutal attack.

Her cousin, Angela Mmadubugwu Ike, described the scene as devastating, noting that there was blood throughout the house.

Suspect on the Run

The fiancé, Valentine Anaikpe, was nowhere to be found when the discovery was made. He has since gone into hiding, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.

Angela has taken to social media to cry out for justice, urging the public to assist law enforcement.

"Ogechukwu deserves justice," she stated, pleading with well-meaning Nigerians to report any sightings of Valentine to the nearest police station immediately.
