Rihanna and A$AP Rocky headline the 2025 Gotham Awards as Hollywood gathers in New York for a night celebrating indie film excellence.

The 2025 awards season officially kicked off in style as celebrities trooped into New York City for this year’s Gotham Awards and Rihanna and A$AP Rocky easily stole the spotlight.

Unlike mainstream blockbuster award shows, the Gotham Awards focus on honouring the year’s standout independent films and television projects. But even with the indie theme, the night was anything but quiet.

Hollywood stars turned up in full force. Celebrity couples like Alec and Hilaria Baldwin and Adam and Jackie Sandler were spotted, though none managed to command attention the way Rihanna and Rocky did on arrival.

Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson also shared a moment for the cameras, adding more star presence to the evening.
