Two of Hollywood's biggest stars, Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, were both out in New York City on the same evening, but they were conspicuously not together.
This is noteworthy because they were once inseparable. On Tuesday night, however, they were spotted in different parts of the city with entirely different social circles.
On one side of town, Taylor Swift was seen enjoying a dinner at the upscale Chez Margaux in the Meatpacking District. Her companion for the evening was fellow musician Este Haim. The pair appeared to be having a relaxed and private meal together.
Meanwhile, across town in the West Village, Blake Lively was hosting a festive event. She was promoting a new collaboration between her haircare line, Blake Brown, and the brand Stoney Clover Lane. She attended the holiday pop-up without her former close friend by her side.
The distance between them appears to be more than just geographical. Their friendship, which was once very public and close, reportedly soured after Blake referenced Taylor in a legal dispute involving actor Justin Baldoni, a move that sources say did not sit well with the singer.
Interestingly, their Tuesday night locations were only about a ten-minute walk apart. Yet, the gap in their social interactions suggests they are currently moving in separate orbits.
It’s a reminder that even the most visible celebrity friendships can change. For now, the evidence suggests this once-close bond has significantly freezed, with both women focusing on their own careers and circles.
