Suspected bandits have abducted a pastor and his wife in Angwan Adiko, a settlement within the Kafari–Kujama area of Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

The victims are Rev. Christopher Rufa’asiri, a pastor with the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, and his wife, Mrs. Patience Christopher.

Residents said the abduction happened late on Monday night, January 26, 2026, triggering fear and tension across the community as news spread.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed that police responded swiftly after receiving the distress report. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) mobilised a patrol team and coordinated with other security agencies to move into the area.

According to the update, nearby bushes and escape routes were immediately cordoned off as part of ongoing efforts to track the attackers.

Security authorities say operations are continuing, with a focus on rescuing the abducted couple and bringing those responsible to justice.
