NDLEA Arrests Pastor, Wife with 11kg Skunk at Seme Border

Pastor Afolabi Hodonu and his wife arrested by NDLEA operatives for drug trafficking at Seme border.

A routine stop and search operation at the Seme border has led to the arrest of a senior cleric and his wife.

Pastor Afolabi Hodonu, 45, who oversees the Celestial Church of Christ in the Sakpo area, was apprehended alongside his wife, Success.

NDLEA operatives found 11 kilograms of skunk carefully concealed in the hidden compartments of their vehicle.

The arrest took place on Thursday, April 2, at the Gbaji checkpoint in Badagry, Lagos State.

Femi Babafemi, the agency’s spokesperson, confirmed the incident. He noted that the couple was intercepted while attempting to move the illicit substance.

This arrest came just days after another major bust at the same location. On Monday, March 30, agents caught a 35-year-old fake security agent, Sunday Samuel.

Samuel was found transporting 24.5 kilograms of skunk from the border into Lagos. The agency has intensified efforts to rid the corridor of drug peddlers.
