Preparations are in top gear for the wedding of Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump. He is set to tie the knot with Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson this weekend. The ceremony will take place on a small, private island in the Bahamas.

According to sources close to the family, the event will be a strictly intimate affair. The guest list has been capped at fewer than 50 people, drawing a line under earlier speculations about a grand celebration.

This choice of location marks a significant shift from the couple’s initial plans. There were previous discussions about holding a high-profile wedding on the South Lawn of the White House or at the Mar-a-Lago resort. However, the couple decided to change course due to the current global climate.

Reports indicate that the couple was very conscious of public perception. A source revealed that they felt a lavish celebration at the White House would not be appropriate while international conflicts are ongoing. They were particularly concerned that such an event would not be well-received while people are suffering abroad.

The President’s attendance remains a major talking point. President Donald Trump is not expected to be present at the ceremony.

Speaking to reporters from the Oval Office, the President admitted that the timing is difficult due to the crisis in Iran. While he hopes to make an appearance, he acknowledged that it is a small, private affair.

Aside from the sensitive timing, the decision to exclude the President also solves logistical issues. A presidential visit requires heavy security fortification. By choosing a secluded location, the couple aims to spare their guests the burden of intense security checks while keeping the details private.

The bride, Bettina Anderson, is a well-known figure in Palm Beach society. She is a model, business professional, and philanthropist. Anderson holds a degree in Art History from Columbia University.

She is also the co-founder of Project Paradise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to disaster relief and environmental conservation in Florida.

Their relationship has been in the public eye since they started dating in 2024. The couple got engaged during a birthday trip to Camp David, with the announcement made in December 2025.

Just recently, Anderson celebrated a bridal shower at Mar-a-Lago attended by key female members of the Trump family.

This wedding marks Trump Jr.'s second marriage. He was previously married to Vanessa Trump for 12 years. As the weekend approaches, the couple looks forward to a quiet celebration away from the usual political spotlight.
