The suspect is a 65-year-old man identified as Bhimaji Kamble. He allegedly committed the heinous crime in Nasrapur village, located in the Bhor taluka area of Pune.
The little girl had simply come to spend her summer holidays with her grandmother. On the afternoon of Friday, May 1, 2026, she was playing near the Ram Mandir area.
Then, she suddenly went missing.
When the child did not return home, her family launched a desperate search. As the hours passed with no sign of her, worried villagers joined the frantic effort.
A breakthrough came when locals checked CCTV footage from the area. The video showed a man leading the little girl toward a cattle shed. This gave the search party a clear direction.
The search quickly focused on the shed. What they found there sent shockwaves through the entire village. The child's lifeless body was discovered hidden under a massive heap of cow dung.
The police were called to the scene immediately.
Investigators pieced together a chilling sequence of events. They revealed that the accused had lured the young girl to the shed. He sexually assaulted her before crushing her with a stone to hide his identity.
He then attempted to cover up his horrific crime by burying her body under the animal waste.
