Introduction:
The 3MTT program, launched by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s plan to create 2 million digital jobs by 2025. This initiative will help train skilled tech professionals to boost Nigeria’s digital growth.
What is 3MTT?
The 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program is a key project under the Renewed Hope agenda. Its goal is to:
- Develop Nigeria’s tech talent
- Strengthen the digital economy
- Make Nigeria a leading exporter of tech skills
The first phase of the program, run with NITDA, involves fellows (trainees), training providers, partners, and companies that will hire skilled graduates.
What’s the Goal?
Phase 1 & 2 will train 300,000 Nigerians in tech skills.
Phase 1 (Started in December 2023):
30,000 participants were selected from all 36 states and FCT.
They underwent online courses and hands-on training with support from 120+ organizations.
Phase 2 (Coming Soon):
Will train 270,000 more people in three batches (60,000, 90,000, and 120,000).
Partners include training centers, state governments, and development agencies.

- UI/UX Design
- Data Analysis & Visualization
- Data Science
- DevOps
- Game Development
- Product Management
- Quality Assurance

How to Apply?
There are two ways to apply:
- For Individuals (Fellows) → 3mtt for Fellows
- For Training Providers (Organizations) → 3mtt for Organizations
