A 44-year-old man in Thailand, Thaweesak Namwongsa, was found dead by his teenage son after reportedly drinking only beer for an entire month.

Thaweesak, who lived in Ban Chang, Rayong Province, had been struggling emotionally since his divorce. According to his 16-year-old son—who had moved in with him after the separation—his father refused food despite daily efforts to cook for him.

The boy returned home from school one day to find his father unconscious. Emergency responders were called, but it was too late—Thaweesak had already passed away, reportedly after suffering a seizure.

Inside the home, paramedics found more than 100 empty beer bottles scattered across the room, with narrow walkways between them.

Though the exact cause of death is still pending an autopsy, authorities suspect chronic alcohol abuse played a major role.
