Paris Jackson, daughter of the late pop legend Michael Jackson, has officially ended her engagement to fiancé Justin Long.
The 27-year-old singer confirmed the breakup on Thursday in a post on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that she had been emotional in public days earlier due to the split. “Those were breakup tears,” she wrote, addressing photos of her seen crying on July 23.
The couple had gotten engaged in December 2024 after dating for some time. Paris had shared a heartfelt post back then, calling their relationship an “indescribable whirlwind” and expressing deep love for Long.
That post, along with other pictures from their engagement including one where Long proposed at a grand theater has since been deleted from her Instagram.
As recently as June, Jackson was spotted wearing her engagement ring and spoke excitedly about their wedding plans, revealing that the date had been chosen by an astrologer and the dress was already in the works. But by late July, things had clearly changed.
The breakup comes amid renewed concern for Paris’s well-being, especially considering her past struggles. She has publicly shared her journey through addiction and recovery, celebrating five years of sobriety earlier this year. In a candid post, she credited her clean lifestyle with allowing her to fully experience life’s highs and lows, from love to heartbreak.
Paris has previously been linked with other high-profile figures including musician Gabriel Glenn, British reality star Tom Kilbey, and model Cara Delevingne. Her breakup with Glenn in 2020, she once said, left her with “the deepest heartbreak” she'd ever known.
While fans have expressed concern over her recent emotional state, Jackson’s openness about her journey, both the pain and the healing continues to resonate with many.
