Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has completed a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal on a two-year deal in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
According to The Athletic, the six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year touched down in Saudi Arabia on Monday for her medical before the transfer was sealed ahead of the window’s closure.
Although the fee remains undisclosed, Bay FC agreed terms with Al Hilal to release the 29-year-old striker.
Oshoala joined Bay FC earlier this year after a glittering spell with Barcelona Femeni, where she lifted multiple league titles, Champions League medals, and Golden Boot awards.
At Bay FC, she played 25 games last season, starting 23 and scoring seven goals. However, this campaign, she has struggled for form, making just five starts in 12 appearances without finding the net.
Her move is seen as a big boost for Al Hilal, who finished sixth in the 2024/25 season after the league expanded from eight to ten teams.
Oshoala will now link up with fellow Super Falcons players Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega, who also ply their trade in Saudi Arabia.
