Galatasaray Hail Victor Osimhen as ‘Best Striker in the World’ After Champions League Brace

Turkish football giants Galatasaray have showered praises on Nigerian star Victor Osimhen, describing him as “the best striker in the world” after his outstanding performance in their Champions League clash against Bodo/Glimt on Wednesday night.

The Super Eagles forward was in top form, netting two brilliant goals in the first half to give Galatasaray a strong lead in the encounter.

Osimhen opened the scoring in the third minute, calmly slotting home after connecting with a clever pass from Mario Lemina.

The 26-year-old doubled the advantage half an hour later, capitalizing on a defensive blunder to roll the ball neatly into the net — sending fans at the RAMS Park Stadium into wild celebration.

In the second half, Yunus Akgün added a third goal for the hosts, while Andreas Helmersen managed to pull one back for the Norwegian side in the 74th minute.

Osimhen’s double now means he has scored in seven consecutive European matches, setting a new milestone for Galatasaray and bringing his Champions League goal tally to 11.

Shortly after the game, Galatasaray took to their official X (formerly Twitter) handle to share a photo of Osimhen with the caption:

“Best striker in the world.”

Fans across Nigeria and beyond have since joined in celebrating the forward’s blistering form, calling him one of Africa’s finest exports in European football.
