Kano Court Sends Suspects to Reform Centre Over Teacher’s Murder

A Magistrate Court sitting in Noman’s Land, Kano, has ordered the remand of several suspects at a reform facility over their alleged involvement in the gruesome killing of a school teacher.

The suspects were brought before Magistrate Hauwa Abdulkadir on charges bordering on criminal conspiracy and murder.

According to police reports, the shocking incident took place at Center Abuja village in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State, where the teacher was reportedly abducted and later murdered in cold blood. His eyes and some body parts were also allegedly removed by the attackers.

Investigations revealed that the group allegedly raised ₦800,000 to hire young men to carry out the killing.

During the court session, the prosecuting counsel, Barrister Salma Garba, asked for more time to prepare her case, prompting the magistrate to adjourn the matter.

The court subsequently fixed November 13 for further hearing and defense arguments.
