Enugu Govt Approves 45 New Layouts for Land Revalidation

Enugu approves 45 new layouts for land revalidation as the state pushes toward a fully digital land-records system.

The Enugu State Government has announced the approval of 45 additional layouts for its ongoing land revalidation and digitization project, raising the total number of layouts under the programme to 150.

The announcement, issued by the Office of the Surveyor General, explained that the move is part of Governor Peter Mbah’s broader push to build a fully digital and transparent land-records system. According to the government, the reform aims to protect ownership rights and restore public confidence in how land matters are handled across the state.

To make the process easier for landowners, new revalidation centres and more licensed partner agents have been added to assist with verification, documentation, and digital conversion.

What Landowners Must Do


All affected landowners, estates, and plot holders must submit their layout and survey documents for:

  • Verification and revalidation
  • Digital conversion and plot mapping
  • Issuance of electronic survey plans and certificates

The state has set December 31, 2025 as the final deadline. Any layout not revalidated by that date will lose official recognition, and plots within such layouts will be tagged as unverified in the state’s digital land database.

Residents are advised to visit any of the designated centres or licensed agents to complete the process without delay.

The government listed both public and private layouts, including New Haven Layout, Thinkers Corner, Achara Layout, Sun City Layout, New GRA Trans-Ekulu, Elite Estate, Unity Estate Ugwuogo Nike, Mountain View Layout, Diaspora Gardens Estate, Heritage Estate, Sunshine Estate, and several community layouts across Nsukka, Nike, and other areas.
