The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is calling on all Nigerians to say no to any tax law that's been twisted or faked.
In a timely Christmas message, NLC President Joe Ajaero stressed that fiscal policies must be fair and inclusive, crafted with workers in mind to dodge errors or political tricks that hurt everyday people.
Workers' Power is Unity, Ajaero's statement, titled "Our Hope Lies in Collective Action," urges workers to stand firm for their wages, pensions, and dignity.
He demands social justice: quality healthcare, education, and security for everyone, plus real rewards for labour.
"It beats rushing a flawed law," the statement notes. "We need equity where rights are honoured and lives are safe, no fear on our streets."
As families mark Christmas 2025, NLC sends warm greetings of peace and joy to workers and the masses.
Ajaero acknowledges the tough times, economic pain from harsh policies making life unbearable for millions. Yet, he sees hope in the season's light, even in darkness.
"Our revival isn't a dream; it's powered by our collective strength," he declares.
Workers, farmers, traders, teachers unite across tribes, religions, and regions. Start mobilizing in your communities now. Build an unbreakable movement for an egalitarian Nigeria that serves the many, not the few.
