Pop star Hailey and Justin Bieber have taken legal action against TikToker Julie Theis over claims about their marriage.
The legal heat is turning up for TikTok creator Julie Theis as Hollywood power couple Hailey and Justin Bieber move to protect their reputation.
The duo has officially served the influencer with a cease-and-desist letter, accusing her of spreading complete lies about their private life.
According to legal documents obtained from the Biebers' lawyer, Evan Spiegel, the couple is fed up with what they call "outrageous and fabricated" claims.
The letter insists that Theis has been using her platform to paint a false and damaging picture of their union.
The drama started when Theis began posting videos on TikTok and Instagram, dissecting the couple's relationship.
In these clips, she allegedly characterized their marriage as a toxic environment fueled by substance abuse, claims the Biebers’ legal team has branded as "highly damaging" and defamatory.
In a swift legal move, the Biebers are demanding that Theis removes these videos from the internet immediately.
They are also warning her to stop posting any future content that suggests their relationship is anything short of healthy.
Responding to the legal threat on Tuesday, Julie Theis confirmed she had received the letter but isn't backing down quietly.
She argued that her videos are simply "opinion-based commentary" on power dynamics and should be protected under free speech.
Theis told reporters that she feels the couple is using their status to bully her into silence. According to her, having a different opinion shouldn't be confused with defamation. She described the legal move as an "elitist" attempt to shut down public discourse.
Beyond the courtroom threats, the situation has taken a dark turn. Theis claims she has been hit with a wave of death threats since the Biebers' legal team stepped in.
While the influencer stands her ground, the Biebers' representatives are yet to comment further on the escalating feud.
