Police Command Arrests Three Over Alleged Possession of Human Skull in Ogun State

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three suspects in Mowe, Ogun State, over alleged conspiracy and unlawful possession of a human skull.

The arrests were carried out on January 8, 2026, according to a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi.

DSP Oluseyi disclosed that following their arrest, the suspects were transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation.

He said the move was to allow specialised officers to handle the case and uncover all circumstances surrounding the incident.

The police spokesperson added that investigations are currently ongoing to determine the source of the human skull and establish the full extent of the suspects’ involvement in the alleged crime.

He assured the public that the command would provide updates as the investigation progresses.

The Ogun State Police Command says it remains committed to tackling criminal activities and ensuring public safety across the state.
