Aisha Yesufu, one of the pioneers of the #BringBackOurGirl movement and a strong face of the obidient movement has said that the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, requires a Mayor and not an FCT Minister.
The statement was published on her verified X handle yesterday, Friday 20th of February.
Her statement came at the time the FCT Area Council election was at hand. Where residents of the Federal Capital Territory are expected to elect who will head the six area councils.
Unfortunately, the Abuja electricity distribution company, AEDC has already informed residents that there will be power shortage during the polls as residents elect council area heads. And if this becomes true, according to the newly signed electoral Act, electronic transmission will be suspended for manual manipulations.
Abuja needs a Mayor! This nonsense appointment of a minister as the executive head of FCT needs to stop, she said.
