Troops Arrest Two Boko Haram Informants in Borno

Nigerian troops have captured two suspected Boko Haram spies in Borno, recovering vital logistics items following a tip-off.

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have apprehended two individuals suspected of acting as informants for terrorist groups in Borno State. 

The arrest took place in the Mainok area of Kaga Local Government Area, marking another breakthrough in the military’s ongoing counter-insurgency efforts.

Intelligence-Led Operation

Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, confirmed the incident. According to security sources, the operation was launched around 3:00 a.m. on March 18. The troops acted on credible intelligence regarding the movement of suspected informants within the locality.

Swift Mobilisation

The 156 Task Force Battalion mobilised swiftly following a tip-off from local sources about suspicious activities. Upon intercepting the suspects, the troops recovered electrical cables believed to be connected to terrorist logistics and support networks. 

The suspects and the recovered items are currently in military custody and will be transferred to the Sector 2 Military Intelligence Brigade for further investigation.
