Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso Meet Key PDP Stakeholders in Abuja

Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi arrive for stakeholders meeting with ADC leaders in Abuja.

A major political gathering is currently unfolding in the Federal Capital Territory. Leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Turaki-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have converged for a crucial stakeholders’ meeting.

The room is filled with heavyweights from across the political divide. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is in attendance, alongside the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi. Senator David Mark, the ADC National Chairman, is leading the charge for his party.

Other top politicians present include former Kano Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, ex-Attorney General Abubakar Malami, and former Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

Senator Aminu Tambuwal and former Secretary to the Government, Babachir Lawal, are also part of the discussion.

On the PDP side, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and factional National Chairman Professor Jerry Gana are present. They are joined by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara and ex-Niger Governor Babangida Aliyu.

However, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed is noticeably absent. He was expected to represent the PDP but is missing from the high-profile table.

This meeting comes just hours after a protest in Abuja. Demonstrators marched from Maitama Roundabout to the INEC office earlier today.
