Cristiano Ronaldo has once again emerged as the world's highest-paid footballer by salary, with the Portuguese star earning a staggering €207 million annually at Al-Nassr, according to the latest 2026 salary rankings released by Foot Africa.
The veteran forward remains far ahead of every other player on the list, highlighting the growing financial strength of the Saudi Pro League in global football.
Ronaldo's annual earnings from salary alone are almost four times higher than those of the second-highest-paid player, underlining the massive investments Saudi clubs continue to make in attracting elite football talents.
Former Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez occupies second place with an annual salary of €55 million at Al-Ahli. Close behind is Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema, who reportedly earns €53 million per year with Al-Ittihad.
Al-Nassr forward Sadio Mané ranks fourth after receiving €42 million annually, while Al-Hilal defender Kalidou Koulibaly completes the top five with a yearly salary of €36 million.
The rankings further demonstrate Saudi Arabia's growing influence in football finances, with five of the ten highest-paid players currently competing in the Saudi Pro League.
European clubs remain represented on the list, although they appear further down the rankings. Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé is sixth with an annual salary of €33.5 million, followed by Manchester City striker Erling Haaland on €32.5 million.
Al-Hilal midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney both earn €27 million per year, while Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane rounds off the top ten with €26.5 million annually.
