WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella has opened up about a medical emergency that many fans did not see coming.

It did not happen in the ring. It happened in her own bathroom.

Speaking on her podcast, The Nikki & Brie Show, with her sister Nikki Bella, the former champion shared how a routine injury recovery turned into a frightening hospital trip.

Brie is currently out of action after breaking her scapula. The injury happened at SummerSlam on August 1 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, when she took a cannonball into the steel steps. She later confirmed the shoulder blade was fractured in two to three places.

Doctors placed her on strong painkillers to manage the pain. That is where the trouble started.

According to Brie, the medication left her severely constipated for days. Nothing seemed to work until her body finally released everything at once.

She was on the toilet at home when it happened. The bowel movement was so intense and sudden that she blacked out right there.

Her husband, Bryan Danielson, found her and quickly called 911. She was rushed to the hospital for emergency care.

On the way to the hospital, she realized the embarrassment was not over. She had not made it fully to the toilet and her pants were still soiled.

At the hospital, the situation got more uncomfortable. Brie said medical staff needed to run tests and rehydrate her before she could clean up. She had to sit in that condition for hours.

She and Nikki can laugh about it now on the show, but Brie admitted it was terrifying at the time. One minute she was dealing with constipation, the next she was passing out.

The incident comes as Brie is facing a long recovery. She told fans on the podcast that she will be out for three to six months depending on how the scapula heals. Doctors have confirmed she will not need surgery.

For a star who is used to taking hard bumps in the ring, this was a different kind of scary moment.
