Megyn Kelly blasts Kim and Kanye for pushing 13-year-old North West into fame with Dazed cover, rap album and stage shows.
Popular American podcaster Megyn Kelly is not happy with how Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are raising their first daughter.
And she is saying it loud and clear.
On Tuesday's episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, Episode 1385, Kelly sat down with Dr. Drew Pinsky. The topic quickly shifted to 13-year-old North West and her fast rise into the spotlight.
According to reports from the show, both hosts believe Kim and Kanye are making North too public, too early.
Kelly started with what many people have been talking about. North's new cover for Dazed Magazine.
The teenager is the face of Dazed's Autumn 2026 issue, tagged "New Idols." In the photos, she rocks long blue hair in twin tails, facial piercings, and what looks like grills or false teeth. Her mother, Kim, shared the photos on Instagram with a short caption: "northie for @dazed."
The issue is set to go on sale internationally on September 10.
But Kelly says the look is not the only concern.
She pointed out that North is already working on a rap album and performing on stage at just 13. For Kelly, it feels like her famous parents are rushing her into stardom without thinking about the price that comes with early celebrity.
Dr. Drew agreed with her.
He took the conversation a step further, referencing Kanye's well-known history with bipolar disorder and saying it is part of North's heritage. He then claimed, without providing any evidence, that Kim and Kanye are parents "who have not been available" and "don't look like they're around all the time."
He warned that putting a child so young into the public arena could have serious negative effects. He compared the situation to a "guillotine" that could fall on her later.
It is important to note that Dr. Drew's comments about their availability were presented as his own opinion and were not backed by any proof.
The conversation has sparked fresh debate online. North, born in June 2013, has been in the public eye since birth, but in the last year she has been building her own identity through music and fashion.
For now, there has been no official response. TMZ reports that reps for both Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were contacted for comment, but have not replied.
The bigger question remains. How young is too young to become a full celebrity?
