Actress Tonto Dikeh launches interdenominational movement New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, says it is not a church.
Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has announced a new chapter in her spiritual journey.
The film star on Sunday unveiled her own spiritual gathering, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, NWPT.
She made the announcement in a post shared on her official Instagram page.
According to Dikeh, NWPT is not a regular church. She described it as an interdenominational altar and a global movement of consecrated believers.
She said the movement is built to help people experience the raw power, purity and presence of God.
The gathering is anchored on Mark 2:22, which says, “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.”
In the statement, Dikeh explained that NWPT was created for Christians who are tired of lukewarm faith.
"NWPT exists as a dwelling place of His presence for those who refuse to settle for lukewarm Christianity and are hungry for genuine revival, fire, and transformation," the statement read.
She also outlined the vision behind the movement.
The vision, according to her, is to trigger a global awakening of believers who will operate in God’s power and transform nations for Christ.
On its mission, NWPT said it aims to build an altar of prayer, revival and apostolic training.
The mission includes raising watchmen, activating spiritual gifts, winning souls and bringing freedom to those in bondage through the Holy Spirit.
The post made it clear that the gathering is different from a conventional church.
"This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God," it stated.
The movement will hold weekly fellowship every Friday by 6:00 pm.
Sunday’s unveiling comes months after noticeable changes in the actress’s public life.
Dikeh had started signing many of her posts as "Ada El-Roi" and became active in Pastor Jerry Eze’s NSPPD prayer community.
Her style of dressing and lifestyle also took a new direction, which many of her fans observed online.
It will be recalled that in December 2025, the actress gave a public testimony at Streams of Joy International Church.
There, she spoke about her deliverance from smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation and anger issues.
She revealed that she started smoking at the age of 13 and said God healed her completely.
Tonto Dikeh, who went into politics in 2022 as a deputy governorship candidate in Rivers State, has remained a subject of public interest.
Earlier in 2026, she reflected on her turbulent marriage to her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, ten years after their separation, months before both parties publicly reconciled and ended their long feud.
