President Bola Tinubu cancels June 12 Democracy Day Broadcast

President Bola Tinubu cancels June 12 Democracy Day

President Bola Tinubu will no longer proceed with the previously announced nationwide broadcast marking the June 12 Democracy Day celebration.

The initial scheduled announcement came from the office of the secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) on Wednesday, confirming that the President was set to address the nation. However, a follow-up statement later that day has revealed a change in schedule.

According to Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations at the OSGF, the broadcast was called off as the President is committed to attend the joint session of the National assembly. The President Bola Tinubu will now deliver his broadcast directly from the national assembly complex.

He further assured that all other Democracy Day schedules remain unchanged.
