Reality TV star and singer, Uriel Oputa, has paid tribute to her late uncle, veteran Nollywood actor Fabian Adibe, who passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the age of 82.

In an emotional post shared via her Instagram story, Uriel expressed her grief while hinting at her disappointment with people who neglected the veteran actor while he was alive but may now try to show “fake love” following his death.

“I’m just waiting for the fake love to start. I can’t say much out of respect, but you see this one here, it’s very personal to me. Nobody checked on my uncle. To my bestie Chi and her sister NK, God bless you both for what you did for Popsi. Rest on sir,” she wrote.

Fabian Adibe, remembered for his remarkable performance in Things Fall Apart and other Nollywood classics, leaves behind a legacy that has shaped the Nigerian film industry.
