Enugu Governor Peter Mbah Set to Join APC

Enugu Governor Peter Mbah Set to Dump PDP for APC

Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, is reportedly preparing to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) next week.

The development was made known in Abuja on Friday by APC National Chairman, Dr. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and the party’s Deputy National Chairman (South-East), Chief Emma Eneukwu.

According to the party’s leadership, Mbah’s move to the APC will be made official during an event scheduled to hold in Enugu next week.

The disclosure came during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly constituted Enugu State APC caretaker committee, led by former state chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye, at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

Speaking after the inauguration, Nwoye confirmed that the governor’s defection was already sealed, adding that Mbah would be joining the APC alongside his political appointees.

Meanwhile, there are growing speculations that Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, might also be considering a similar move to the ruling party.
