BREAKING: 100 students rescued from Niger State school abduction. Over 160 pupils and teachers remain in captivity as operations continue.
Our sources can confirm this evening that the Federal Government has successfully secured the freedom of 100 schoolchildren abducted from St. Mary’s Private School in Papiri, Niger State.
This development brings a glimmer of hope to a community that has been in anguish for days. The pupils were among hundreds seized during a brazen overnight raid by bandits last month.
According to details, the attackers stormed the school dormitories on motorcycles around 2 a.m. on November 21st. The operation lasted hours, ultimately seeing 303 students and 12 teachers forcefully taken into the nearby forests.
In the immediate chaotic aftermath, 50 brave pupils managed to escape on their own, finding their way to safety. But for 265 others, the nightmare continued.
This latest rescue of 100 children is the result of sustained pressure from Donald Trump United State and combined efforts from Security forces, alongside local vigilante hunters, have been combing the dense forests non-stop since the abduction.
However, the story is far from over. As it stands, 165 individuals including 153 children and all 12 teachers are still being held captive. Their families await further news with prayer and anxiety.
The nation watches and hopes as operations intensify to bring everyone home. We will bring you more updates as they unfold.
