The global community is on high alert following unconfirmed reports that Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, may have been killed in Saturday’s military strikes.

Earlier today, Israeli media outlets, including Channel 12, cited anonymous sources suggesting that the 86-year-old leader lost his life during the heavy bombardment. These reports spread rapidly, though they were initially shared without official verification.

However, Iran has moved quickly to shut down the rumours. Speaking to international media, Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi stated clearly that, to the best of his knowledge, the Supreme Leader is alive and safe.

The joint military operations by the United States and Israel were far from random. Reports indicate that the strikes specifically targeted high-level locations, including areas near Khamenei’s official offices.

It is believed that the Iranian leader had been moved to a highly secure, secret location before the missiles even began to fall.

He was not the only high-ranking official in the line of fire. Sources in Israel also claimed that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was a primary target in the early morning operation.

While the situation remains fluid, the Iranian government is standing firm, insisting that its top leadership remains intact despite the massive military pressure.
