The Nigerian military is making significant strides in cutting off the lifelines of insurgents in the North-East.

In a recent breakthrough, troops of Operation Hadin Kai, working with local security groups, arrested a key logistics supplier and a man allegedly providing drones to Boko Haram.

Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, the media spokesperson for the operation, confirmed these developments on Thursday. He revealed that 28-year-old Ismail Muhammad was caught in Visik Village, located in the Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

When he was taken into custody, soldiers found an AK-47 magazine, ammunition, military gear, and various foodstuffs meant for the terrorists.

In a separate encounter near the Visik River in Madagali, the military successfully took down a known terrorist commander, Abdullahi Mafa. An AK-47 rifle was recovered from the scene following the shootout.

Perhaps the most striking arrest involved 64-year-old Dauda Usman Gubula. He was intercepted at a motor park in Madagali town.

According to military intelligence, Gubula was a collaborator responsible for supplying drones to the insurgents. These drones are often locally modified and used as weapons against security forces.

At the time of his arrest, Gubula was found with two aerial drones, several drone accessories, and 20 solar power banks.

The suspects are currently in custody and are assisting investigators as the military continues to dismantle insurgent supply networks across the region.
