Tyla bags another Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance, beating Nigerian stars Davido and Burna Boy.

It was a historic night for South African sensation Tyla as she once again proved her global dominance.

The "Water" singer walked away with the Best African Music Performance trophy at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

Tyla won the highly coveted category with her hit song, “Push 2 Start.” This victory is a massive career milestone, making her a two-time Grammy winner after her success at last year's ceremony.

The competition was incredibly stiff this year. Tyla faced off against some of Africa’s biggest heavyweights, including Nigeria’s own Davido and Burna Boy.

Davido was in the running with his track “With You,” featuring Omah Lay, while Burna Boy received a nod for his song “Love.”

Other top contenders included Ayra Starr for “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid, and Eddy Kenzo’s collaboration with Mehran Matin titled “Hope & Love.”

While many Nigerian fans were rooting for a home win, Tyla’s consistent growth on the global stage ultimately secured her the win.

She has now firmly established herself as one of the most successful African artists of her generation.
