Nigerian troops neutralized 38 ISWAP terrorists in a fierce Borno ambush, recovering arms and ensuring no soldier died.
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have dealt a heavy blow to insurgency in the North East, neutralizing 38 ISWAP fighters during a fierce encounter.
The clash reported by Dailypost occurred on Saturday morning when terrorists launched an attack on a military base in Mandaragirau, Borno State. The soldiers stood their ground and responded with superior firepower.
According to Army spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, the troops used a tactical ambush that forced the attackers to retreat in chaos. The Air Component also provided crucial support, targeting the fleeing insurgents from the sky.
While eight bodies were recovered at the scene, intelligence reports confirm that over 30 additional terrorists died along the Garin Mallum withdrawal route.
The operation yielded seven AK-47 rifles, RPG bombs, and ammunition. Remarkably, no Nigerian soldier lost his life during the exchange, bringing a sense of relief and celebration to local communities.
