A women’s hygiene awareness campaign empowered students with education and free period care products in Lagos.
Students of Caleb British International School were recently at the centre of an impactful women’s care and personal hygiene awareness programme aimed at building confidence and promoting healthy habits among young girls.
The initiative, tagged “Healthy Beginning, Happy Future,” was organised by Polyrocks in collaboration with Goonite Hygiene as part of the company’s ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts.
Beyond product promotion, the campaign focused on educating students about proper body care, menstrual hygiene, and self-confidence.
The organisers emphasised that access to accurate information and reliable hygiene products plays a critical role in shaping the future of young women.
Speaking at the event, Robby Yang, Chief Executive Officer of Polyrocks, said the company is committed to building a future where young women can grow with confidence and dignity.
He explained that the initiative was designed to help girls “make sense with Besense” by improving access to trusted period care solutions and practical guidance.
Yang described Besense, the company’s women’s care brand, as a product built around comfort, reliability, and confidence.
According to him, the brand goes beyond everyday comfort, offering dependable protection that allows users to remain focused, active, and self-assured throughout the day.
Also addressing the students, John Jiang, Managing Director of Goonite Hygiene, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to empowering young women through education and quality hygiene products.
He stressed that understanding one’s body and practising proper personal care are essential foundations for overall wellbeing.
“This is about confidence, dignity, and opportunity. Every girl deserves to move through life without fear,” he said.
Besense products are now widely available in the market and have gained positive feedback from users. The brand features a soft, cotton-like surface, an ultra-slim design, and long-lasting protection of up to 8–12 hours.
The product range includes options for daytime and nighttime use, as well as panty liners, allowing users to choose based on their individual needs.
Organisers noted that the brand stands out for its strong quality assurance process and carefully sourced raw materials from global suppliers.
School authorities and students commended the initiative, describing it as timely and relevant. Bernadette Chidinma, a teacher at the school, said the programme was impactful and necessary, particularly in addressing lingering stigma around menstrual health discussions among young girls.
The awareness drive forms part of Goonite Hygiene’s broader CSR agenda focused on promoting women’s hygiene and positioning self-care as essential to community and national development.
During the event, over 200 students received free personal care products, confectioneries, and gift items. The organisers also announced plans to extend the campaign to more schools across Nigeria.
In a further show of community engagement, the Goonite team later visited Ojuwoye Market in Mushin, Lagos, where stockists and vendors were engaged, rewarded with free products, and appreciated for their partnership.
The activation aimed to strengthen grassroots awareness and support local distributors of women’s care solutions.
