Otti Sues FG at World Court Over Blocked Abia Airport

Alex Otti makes deliberate moves to establish cargo Airport and a seaport in the Abia State as the Federal Government fights his ambition,

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has reportedly taken a major legal stand against the Federal Government. Information emerging suggests that the Governor has sued the Federal Government at the World Court, accusing them of intentionally frustrating his plans to build a Cargo Airport and a seaport in the state.

The Governor’s petition describes the FG’s refusal to approve these vital projects as a direct violation of the law. He further labeled the move as an act of "deliberate marginalization" aimed at holding back the economic potential of the South-East.

The move is seen as a response to the ongoing challenges faced by South-Easterners in other parts of the country.

Governor Otti pointed out that the lack of a functional seaport or cargo airport in the East is a major reason why many Igbos remain in places like Lagos.

He noted that this dependence has left many vulnerable to property demolitions and the loss of their livelihoods. By establishing these hubs in Abia, the Governor hopes to provide a viable home-base for international trade and business.

In his statement to the international court, Otti stressed that his people are being denied their fundamental rights and economic opportunities.

He argued that the "deliberate frustration" of the Aba Cargo Airport is not just a policy disagreement, but a systematic attempt to stifle the region's growth.

While the Federal Government has yet to issue a formal response to this international legal challenge, political observers believe this move could redefine the relationship between the state and the FG.
