In a major boost for education in Delta State, Chief Emuoboh Gbagi has stepped forward to clear the WAEC examination fees for all eligible students in the Oginibo community.

The philanthropist, who is the son of the late Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, made the move to ensure that financial hardship does not stop any child from advancing their education.

For many parents in the community who have been struggling to make ends meet, this news came as a massive relief.

The total sum of ₦1,863,000 was paid to cover the registration costs for every qualified candidate in Oginibo. This means that for the current academic session, no student in the community will be barred from sitting for the all-important final exams because of unpaid fees.

Community leaders have described the intervention as "timely and people-focused." During the official presentation, stakeholders praised Chief Gbagi for prioritizing human capital development and showing what true grassroots leadership looks like.

While the financial burden has been lifted, the students have been told that the ball is now in their court. Local leaders urged the beneficiaries to match this kindness with hard work and discipline.

The message to the candidates was clear: use this rare opportunity to study hard and excel in your exams.

By doing so, they will not only justify the investment made by their benefactor but also bring pride to the entire Oginibo community.
