Brad Pitt Accused of Secret Subpoena in Jolie Winery Case

Brad Pitt faces claims of secret subpoenas in Miraval winery fight with Angelina Jolie as Stoli files new court documents.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in court over Château Miraval winery legal dispute with Stoli

The long-running legal fight over Château Miraval is back in court, and this time it is vodka giant Stoli pointing fingers at Brad Pitt.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Stoli alleges Pitt's legal team issued a secret subpoena in December 2025 during the company's Texas bankruptcy case.

The subpoena, sent to a bank, reportedly asked for emails exchanged with Stoli, along with questions about Vladimir Putin, Russia, and any Russian-linked assets tied to the company.

Stoli says Pitt only informed them weeks after he had already received the documents from the bank. The company argues the requests had nothing to do with the Miraval case, and is asking the court to have the materials destroyed immediately.

For context, Pitt and Jolie bought the French winery together while married. After their divorce, Jolie sold her stake to Stoli. Pitt sued, arguing she needed his approval to sell, a claim Jolie disputes. Pitt has also raised concerns about Stoli's leadership and business practices.

A source close to Pitt, speaking to TMZ, pushed back on the claims. The source said Jolie and Stoli have a history of withholding deal documents, and blamed a lack of communication between Stoli's former and current lawyers, noting that the previous legal team was aware of the subpoena request.

The source also described the dispute as premature, since a hearing on the matter has not yet taken place, and maintained that Pitt's concerns about Stoli's business practices are reinforced by the bankruptcy filings in question.

Stoli, for its part, alleges Pitt delayed notice specifically to stop them from objecting in time.

A judge will decide what happens next with the subpoenaed documents. Pitt and Jolie have not publicly commented.
