The rap world is watching closely as heavyweights Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube take their former business partners to court.

Alongside fellow rappers Too Short and E-40, the group known as Mount Westmore is alleging that they were defrauded by a company called Westside Merchandising.

According to the rappers, the company made grand promises to win them over. They claim they were told their merchandise would be stocked in major retail stores across the country, rather than just being sold at concert venues. However, they now say those promises were nothing but bait.

In the lawsuit, the legendary artists claim that while they received a large initial payment, the company has failed to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars still owed to them. They also allege that the firm has been "dodgy" with the financial records of their sales.

However, this legal drama has two sides. Westside Merchandising actually sued the rappers first in November 2024. The company claims it paid the group over $1.3 million for a massive 60-date tour that never happened, leaving them with huge losses.

The lawyer representing the merchandise company has fired back, calling the rappers' new claims "desperate" and "full of lies." He argues that the musicians are simply trying to distract everyone from their own failure to show up for the agreed performances.

As it stands, both parties are accusing each other of foul play. With millions of dollars and reputations on the line, this courtroom showdown is far from over.
