Nigeria has what it takes to withstand the threats posed by insurgents. This was the firm message delivered by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on Saturday.
She made this known during a crucial meeting with the Ekiti State Traditional Rulers’ Council. The gathering took place at the Government House in Ado-Ekiti.
Mrs. Tinubu expressed absolute confidence that the ongoing security challenges facing the country will soon be a thing of the past. For her, the spirit of the Nigerian people is simply too great to be cowed by violent extremists.
She also used the opportunity to reassure the traditional rulers of her husband's dedication. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains fully committed to tackling insecurity head-on.
According to the First Lady, the President is working around the clock to ensure that lasting peace returns to every part of the nation.
The fight against terror is not one Nigeria is fighting alone. Mrs. Tinubu acknowledged the vital support the country continues to receive from foreign partners.
This global collaboration, she believes, will play a huge role in turning the tide against security threats.
Despite the current hurdles, she urged citizens not to lose hope. Instead, Nigerians should remain steadfast and continue to pray for the nation.
"Nigerians are too great to be intimidated by insurgents. Let us remain hopeful and continue to pray for the nation," she stated.
The First Lady firmly believes that divine help is on the way. She assured the gathering that God would not abandon Nigeria in its efforts to overcome these trying times.
