Google is putting serious money on the table to change the face of science. Through its philanthropic arm, Google.org, the tech giant has launched a $30 million global "Impact Challenge." Ai for Science, The goal is simple: to help researchers use Artificial Intelligence to speed up life-saving discoveries.
If you are a researcher or run a nonprofit, this is a massive opportunity. The fund focuses on two main areas: Health & Life Sciences (think brain mapping and genomics) and Climate Resilience (protecting our oceans and farming).
Google isn't just looking for minor fixes; they are hunting for "Nobel-level" breakthroughs that can happen at digital speed.
The rewards are significant. Selected organizations can receive anywhere from $500,000 to over $3 million in funding. But it’s not just about the cash.
Winners will also get six months of technical help from Google’s own experts, access to the Google.org Accelerator, and Google Cloud credits to power their projects.
Who can apply? The challenge is open to nonprofit charities, academic institutions, and social enterprises that have a clear plan for social impact. Unfortunately, individuals cannot apply on their own; you must be part of a registered organization.

A panel of experts from Google (the official page) and partner groups like Renaissance Philanthropy will review the entries to find the most promising ideas.
